Learning to read!

So, those of you that know Jeremy and I well know that we both love to read so I have prayed that our children would share that same love. Of course, it's too early to tell, and to be honest Jeremy and I didn't really begin to love reading until it was not required of us in school so it may be a while before I know if my prayers have prevailed - however, James has started to enjoy the taste of a good cardboard book between his gums so I think we're making progress:)
A little afternoon reading :)
Things at the Allen house are going well - James continues to grow like a weed and crack us up more and more everyday. Lately he has gone crazy with the kicking - all the time!! He loves to kick his right leg especially while taking his bottle. As soon as he can start to really get mobile I know he is going to wear himself out because he has to be moving at least two parts of his body at all times or trying to eat something! He rarely just sits - except when he's in his crib. He's great about waking up and just laying in there and talking to himself in his mirror or playing with his lovie. I usually don't get him up until 7:30 or 8 a.m. but we have no idea when he really wakes up. Sometimes Jeremy may hear him in there chit chatting with himself at 6 and then he'll get quiet and doze off again.
Baby #2 is doing great as well. I'm officially in my 2nd trimester and feel great. I get a little tired still in the afternoon but other than that so far this pregnancy has been a breeze. I don't know if it is because I'm so busy with James I don't have time to think about it all day long like I did when I was pregnant with him.
We are coming into spring consignment season and I am super excited! I have so many things to look for - another crib, double stroller, car seat, plus clothes and toys for James. I LOVE getting crazy deals on all this baby stuff! I refuse to pay more than $1 for pajamas now!! How crazy is that - but you can do it!
Here are some more recent pics-
Most of these consignment sales don't allow you to bring a stroller so I pulled out my Moby wrap I used when James was an infant and tried to figure out how to use it for a "big boy". While the thing can be a pain to get all "wrapped" on due to its 50 yards of material - once it's on and he's in it's really quite comfy - way better than the baby Bjorn- but how funny does he look - it's like he's taped to me :) He also kind of looks like a Sumo wrestler!
Sleeping with our lovie - too sweet!
Just being a cutie-pa-tootie!
