My new tricks!

Over the past several weeks James has mastered some new tricks like clapping, holding his bottle by himself and half crawling. I tried to grab a couple of pictures of him in action but it's hard to get a picture that's not just a blur because he moves so fast!! We are loving each and every phase of our sweet boys life and look forward to seeing what he will surprise us with next!
Standing on his hands and toes - such a silly boy!

We finally got him to hold his own bottle - not that I don't love feeding him but sometimes when we're in the car and he starts getting hungry and I'm driving it would be nice to be able to hand him a bottle instead of having to listen to him cry all the way home :( Ofcourse, he has his own "style" that gets a little messy but he's learning. He also likes to impress us by going one hand sometimes :)

My mom got James a set of blocks for Easter and he LOVES taking all the blocks out of the bin and then putting them back in -
ALL BOY!!

wanna' play momma?
Scooting/crawling to get me - I love it when he actually puts his arms out and wants me to hold him! Ofcourse as soon as I pick him up he's all over the place trying to figure out where to go next!

Oh, I almost forgot - he went in for his 7 month check up and he weighs 19 pounds 7 ounces and is 27 inches long. I thought for sure he was going to be at least 21 pounds but what do I know! He is also finally starting to get his bottom teeth in. So far he's been a real trooper and they haven't interrupted his night time sleep yet! Praise God!!

Just having some fun!

James is now going on 7 1/2 months! I can't believe how fast time flies!! We go to the doctor on Monday and we'll see how much he's grown since 4 months. I'm pretty sure he's about to outgrow the 22 pound weight limit of his car seat! We're starting to crawl a little bit but we haven't just taken off yet. He only gets about two or three good "scoots" before he's down again. He likes to push up on his hands and feet - Jeremy likes to hold his feet and see how long he can hold the "wheel barrow" position :) His new favorite move is to go from his belly to sitting up - we're very impressed! Here are a couple pics - I'll post more soon!

Daddy couldn't miss a photo opportunity with James and a baseball!

As many of you know Jeremy was a left handed pitcher in college - notice how he has his left hand positioned on the ball - his two fingers are perfectly placed on the stitching of the ball - could we have a natural on our hands :)

Getting ready to go for a walk - probably his most favorite thing to do!
One of our good friends set up a little Easter egg hunt for a bunch of our friends. Of course James wasn't old enough to be able to actually "hunt" for eggs but his sweet friend Ellie Latham gave him one of her eggs. Of course all he wanted to do was try and eat it!

IT'S A BOY!!

We got to see our sweet baby today and everything looked perfect!! We got to see both legs kicking, toes, fingers, heartbeat and even got to see his little mouth open and see his tongue! Amazing!! Here are a couple pics from the ultrasound - it's very obvious he's a boy - daddy's so proud! :)

Maybe he has a little bit of mommy!

So, as you see below we just had James 6 month pictures taken. As I was looking through them I came across several where I actually saw a little bit of me in him! Shocker! There is still no denying that he is his daddy's boy but his looks are starting to change a bit. When he was a newborn he looked truly identical to Jeremy as a baby except without the red hair. We had some friends over a couple nights ago and we pulled out a baby picture of me and everyone was surprised to see that it actually looked a little like James too!!
What do you think?

6 month pics

Yesterday we took James to the Botanical Gardens to take his 6 month pictures. We took tons of pictures and ofcourse I love them all but I tried to pick some of my favorites to put in a slideslow - Hope you enjoy!
